A placement coupled with a rights issue or SPP is entirely feasible, with any shortfall placed at the discretion of the directors.
However, a rights issue will be a first for the Company as there has not been a rights issue since the Company was first incorporated back in 2009. Those shareholders worried about dilution will be happy with a rights issue.
On the other hand, BB had funding meetings in London last week, as outlined by @Pauldola and these institutions may come to the party. Australian brokers and Top 20 shareholders have been there is the past and will be there this time as well.
TON also has a 2 year, Long State Investments AUD $20M facility for times like these which is still unused.
TON has not had a problem raising capital previously and I have every confidence management will surprise us on Thursday.
