Why would it be more efficient for CDU to melt the 99.65% pure NCu in their own little furnace compared to a commercial smelter which would hardly notice the difference? Or likewise, if there are slightly more impurities, the cost of transporting the mass of the impurities would still be negligible. So why the extra capital and running costs? They can't surely be producing enough to warrant a full time team of furnace operators. Or was this a throwaway line to distract people from the facts of not enough money to finish and commission what they already have and no more DSO and NCu sales?
