Arlberg1, the main reason Cosmos is folklore is that it was developed and mined when Ni price averaged US$17/lb with a high of US$25/lb. Its all in cost of production was less than US$10/lb. Cosmos was mined out in 6-7 years - open pit for 3.5 years down to 200m then Underground at 500m for a another 3-4 years. Xstrata takeover of Jubilee was after the Cosmos deposit was exhausted. Just a bit of history. Just saying that there was more to Jubilee than Cosmos. Nevertheless, I will be very, very happy for another cosmos to emerge.
