Yes, I did not explicitly mention that fact but I am aware of Chanos' investment choices. The important thing I look for is whether his comments actually withstand close inspection, not why he is making the comments in the first place. If, for example, there was no evidence of an $8 billion debt, I would have called it out. Is there something particular in Chanos' comments that you feel are misleading? Where is he fooling the market with his statements? I haven't seen anything specific apart from Anjo's posts.

I also keep in my mind that a shorter will usually identify a company that he/she considers to be overvalued and in some sort of trouble, and then go short. They don't typically pick, at random, a thriving and robust company, attempt to talk it it down and then start going short.
