NIRP and ZIRP if they have much effect in practice was late. Sweden had NIRP in 2008 and the ECB had it since 2014. If the ECB which controls the largest combined economy (all Europe) could not affect the price of PMs upwards and Japan had 9.5 trillion yen worth of bonds at negative interest rates since 2017, what effect does NIRP and ZIRP actually have? Everyone thought inflation would be rampant by now from the TARP and QE1,2,3 bailouts but it did not eventuate. I am not a fan of money printing but I have to admit the US Fed Reserve had done a terrific job balancing monetary inflation to offset the deflation that rocked the markets, resulting in low consumer price inflation.

It could be the same this time. An initial spike like how it did in 2011 then subside to a new normal. Don't get me wrong, I have got lots of physical gold and silver sitting in a vault under guard since 2016. More than happy to make money regardless if I am into junior miners.
