It is appalling the dis honesty, greed and corruption around the globe by global leaders for the most part democratically elected by the people to do the best for the people. We had a politician here in cahoots with the Chinese and was trying to do them favours at the back door - part of Chinese meddling in our elections. Rotten to the core some politicians right through to councils aka village chiefs elsewhere.

Our doorstep in Asia - Myanmar "leader" having received humanitarian accolades shuns the Royhinga people and oversees them murdered - raped and tortured as they try to flee to Bangladesh for safety.
Cambodia current "democratic" election where the current "communist" leader of 30 years has threatened civil war if he is not re elected. What chance do some people in some countries have honestly.

Thailand ruled by military for some 3 years now - keep finding excuses not to hold a democratic election.

On the bright side North Korea appear to be doing the right thing. Suspicious though I am that they now have the tech they desperately sought for nuclear weapons capability - now they can pack it away - remove sanctions - grow a booming economy and then re start their mantra.

The world is so much smaller and so integrated these days. Technology has given everyone a voice so one can only hope the voices of those being persecuted - their video footage to support will bring change. That those in positions who abuse power will be persecuted.

Anyway it's a reminder of how fortunate some of us are.
