I work for an American Mining Company at a large Open Cut/ Underground Mine and if an Owner got in a 4wd and went for a drive around the lease every miner on site would know about it befor dark.

If it was a cattle property, then there is an avenue for a covert operation.

If the Chinese set up some sort of Monitoring Station at a Remote point on the Mine Site, it would get knocked off.
Someone would find a use for it.

They locked a Miner and a Monkey in a sealed room and gave them each 3 steel balls.

The Monkey worked out if he flattened a spot on each of the balls, he could make a tower out of them.

When they went to check on the Miner they found that he had lost one, broken one, had one in his crib bag and was sneaking off early.
