More to the point what about these ridiculous capital gains on housing.
Lets look at this.
If we never had the immigration, we wouldn't have the house increase, our debt to GDP would be far lower from lower morthgages. People would look to substitute investments like BHP for superior returns so you wouldn't need all this overseas investment in resource companies and a bigger porportion of society would be working in mining instead of this disproportionate amount of people in finance, govt and education.
