Swan heads off to join PM Gillard in Seoul From: AAP November 10, 2010 1:12PM FEDERAL Treasurer Wayne Swan is leaving behind the political row over his mid-year budget review to join Prime Minister Julia Gillard at G20 Leaders Summit in Seoul. Mr Swan will be in South Korea on Thursday and Friday, where he will also attend the Seoul G20 Business Summit, or 'B20', with Ms Gillard.
The treasurer said the summit comes at a time when the global economic recovery remains "patchy and uneven".
"International engagement remains as important now as it was at the height of the global crisis," Mr Swan said.
"The focus of the G20 Leaders' Summit will be on putting in place a framework for strong, sustainable and balanced growth."
He said the B20 would bring together 120 of the world's leading business executives with G20 leaders and finance ministers.
