3 years is not a long time, to forget about a few bank accounts.
when the kids were at a catholic primary school, we would regularly give the kids a dollar or two to bank. watso only mentions the catholic school, because the catholics had a banking scheme at school.
when the kids went to high school, the accounts became inactive (ie no more deposits) - but after a while, the accounts were closed.
one thing for sure, is that the money does not belong to the government.
a lot of pensioners would have accounts, which because of dementia, they would have forgotten about. presently after 7 years of inaction, the money goes to some unclaimed money thingy - but not to the grasping clutches of the government - 3 years is just a joke
