Thanks Warnie, looks like I will go for a walk and reindulge. (is there such a word?)

    Friday squads

ST KILDA midfielder Lenny Hayes will make his long-awaited comeback from a knee injury in this Friday night's clashes with Geelong and the Sydney Swans.

Hayes was named in a 34-man squad on Wednesday that will play the Cats and Swans at Etihad Stadium.

It will be the first official match the 32-year-old has played since rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in last year's round two draw with Richmond.

The Saints have named a full-strength squad for Friday night's two games, with James Gwilt and Raphael Clarke the only notable omissions.

Untried youngsters Sam Crocker, Terry Milera, Jack Newnes, Sebastian Ross, Ahmed Saad and Cameron Shenton have also been named by the Saints.

Former West Coast player Beau Wilkes has been named for his first game with his new club.

As forecast by coach Chris Scott on Tuesday, Geelong has named an inexperienced squad for the round one triangular series.

Ten members of the Cats' 2011 premiership team will sit out, including James Kelly, Joel Corey, Steve Johnson, Allen Christensen, Matthew Scarlett, Paul Chapman and Corey Enright.

Fellow premiership stars James Podsiadly (shoulder), Travis Varcoe (foot stress fracture) and David Wojcinski (foot) are still recovering from injuries, as are Daniel Menzel (knee) and Nathan Vardy (hip).

The Cats have named 11 players who are yet to make their AFL debut, including 29-year-old ruckman Orren Stephenson and former NBL and US college basketballer Ryan Bathie.

Stars Adam Goodes, Jarrad McVeigh, Kieren Jack, Shane Mumford, Jude Bolton and Ryan O'Keefe have been included in the Swans' squad.

But they will line up without exciting youngster Tom Mitchell and 2010 NAB Rising Star winner Dan Hannebery (who is still recovering from minor knee surgery).
