    Glenn? Is that

    a. Glenn "Don't mention the R word" Stevens?

    b. Glenn Rufrano, our glorious CEO and Saviour of the Centro empire?

    c. Your name?

    d. Glenn Close, Oscar nominated actress and singer?

Depending on which, there are different answers:

    a. It's not a function of the RBA to lend to private companies like Centro. I think that any policy change to permit this would create a very dangerous precedent for the country. I left a message for Mr Stevens on this point but he hasn't rang me back yet. I'm guessing I know the answer though.

    b. GR is putting in sweat equity rather than hard cash. Although I have to say it would be a huge plus if he bought a few shares now and then.

    c. Nice to meet you Glenn. How are the kids?

    d. All we have to go on is the recent media release from her agent regarding the Centro situation: "Mrs Close considers the plight of Centro properties to be an unfortunate one and wishes the staff, customers and shareholders well in working through the issues. Glenn lives in Maine in the US where she regularly shops at her local Centro mall, thus doing her part for the local economy. In 2009, Glenn is appearing in "Sunset Boulevard", the screen adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1993 musical of the same name."
