well that's not limited to any particular jurisdiction - lets blame immigrants, dole bludgers, boat people, blacks, whites, coloureds, jews, muslims, boat people, politicians, our neighbour, god, the devil, Dan, Scott, Jenny, Julia, Gladys, border forces, newscorp, trump, biden, clintons, maggie thatcher, the french, the russians, the chinese, israel, palestine, the irish, the Brits, the afrikaans, the tutsi, the zulus, the hindu,s the whatever. We have an extraordinary line up of people to blame. The government for giving too much money to people, the government for not giving enough, the businesses for making profits and the businesses for paying their CEOs too much. It is made much worse by people with simplistic explanations of cause effect, thinking they know what is going on and what the solution is going to be. it is made worse by arrogance that means we don't find ways to bridge interests, needs and desires. it is made much worse by a lack of kindness and care. it is made worse by our inability to take responsibility for ourselves and our desire for revenge or by self entitlement with no allowance for looking at facts. it is all these things.
Ii think blame and finger pointing is a pointless exercise and harks back to an era of retribution and punishment - this maybe is the foundation of australian culture. I'd rather seek solutions and avoid repeats - its more productive if done without blame.
