All cane towns now have an Italian influence with Ingham more than most. But within two generations the Italian club and the German club have died in town.The Greek club survives but may be the only one in the north. The Chinese I know, and I know a few, are kind, generous and bloody hard working.

These people are now Australian and have enriched my life.

With these people as your yardstick, how many boat people and queue jumpers do you think will pass muster?
