Assad did not organise the revolution, but he sure did have a lot of input into the festering pimple that eventually burst.

Millions of Sunnis flowing out of the Middle East from a country run by a tiny minority non-Sunni, that just happens to be powered by Iran (the Middle East Shiite powerhouse).

You don't think the Ayatollahs wouldn't be half excited about how the situation has panned (or possibly planned) out - add to the fact that Iranian dollars are about to flow? Europe in a mess, masses of Muslims (seemingly a majority being troublemaking male no-hopers) and along comes Iran with a fistful of dollars to somewhat appease the Europeans.

EU and UN money being poured in to try to handle the social welfare burden - years of spending into a never ending pit that will send Europe into serious recession.
Iranian money about to pour in to Europe to capitalise on commercial opportunities.
Putin would also be rubbing his hands with glee as Europe falls to its knees.
Is Europe heading down the path of becoming the next South Africa of the world in 50 years time?

Obama, Merkel, the EU and Co have been played like fools.
