Haha this one might be too loaded. I won't even try and guess haulage costs in brazil... I also couldn't find much information about the onca puma project (vale's closest nickel deposit to Itapitanga) except that it had proven and probable of 77.7 million tonnes @ 1.8% nickel to begin with.

I can't find the plant feed-rate updated since 2015 so I assume it is still able to handle 2.8mtpa which would give them a minimum life of 27.5 years and likely more given that was only proven/probable.

I would say that at the very least, any assumption of being purchased would wait until the cobalt wave has subsided somewhat, or as part of an expansion (higher throughput) project (to make it feasible).
