Hey - yes, see the ABC article today - thankful for an independent ABC - vested media interests will be slow to report on this - wide implications for corporate accountability in Aust!!!! It appears that other banks and corporations have been exploiting WBC's failure to use SWIFT (and use its own cheaper versions that do not track the sender and receiver of funds overseas) to facilitate tax avoidance, money laundering on massive (but unknown - because the WBC systems only record 5 characters of information about transactions) scale.
Self regulation is a wonderful thing!!!
