SWIFTEL SIGN’S AGREEMENT WITH PEOPLE TELECOM

Swiftel Ltd (SWT) has entered into an agreement with People Telecom Ltd (“People Telecom”) a national telecommunication service provider that will enable Swiftel to be a ”full service carrier” and provide their customers with a complete range of telecommunications services. People Telecom will market and sell, Swiftel’s new broadband DSL product to its customers throughout Australia.

Swiftel is a leading national specialist in the provision of data infrastructure and services while People Telecom is a market leader in providing enhanced bundled billing solutions to its customers for all telecommunication products.

People Telecom is a privately owned Australian company with operations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and now Perth that targets corporate customers. The company has over 12,000 customers and annualised revenue of $70 million. It is noted in the industry for a state of the art back office and a high level of personalised customer service.

The alliance will allow each company to provide the full range of Data and telecommunications services to their customers on the one bill and under their own brand. It is not only a win-win situation for Swiftel and People Telecom but also for their current and future customers.

This is a highly significant development for Swiftel as it allows the company to both extend services to its existing customers and to rapidly grow its customer base without the associated infrastructure costs.

People Telecom will market and sell under its own brand, Swiftel ADSL and other products to its corporate customer base. In effect, all 12,000 of People Telecom’s customers are potential Swiftel customers. The alliance should see Swiftel increase its revenue stream substantially in the current financial year.

In additional to its current business class DSL and related services, Swiftel will now offer under its own brand resale of local, national and international voice, line equipment rental, GSM and CDMA mobile all via a “One Bill” solution. Swiftel is now uniquely positioned in its sector and will set the company apart from its peers via this offering.
