Welcome back Taffy and thanks for the lead.

    Swinburne's present wave-power research

"Swinburne University of Technology (SUT) and the Australian Maritime College at the University of Tasmania (AMC) have been supported by a $770k grant from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) for research into arrays (or 'farms') of ocean wave-power machines. The project is in partnership with the two largest Australian wave-power companies, Carnegie Wave Energy and Biopower Systems, and including university and partner contributions the total project size is about $1.5M. The aim of the research is to provide government and investor communities with a simple, web- based tool to estimate the power delivered when ocean wave power machines are grouped together in arrays. The research project is not tied to a single wave power technology; rather it considers generic wave power machines."
