deadly or not, as long as the sales go up, all cares aside, that is all that matter in financial terms. but..

maybe you are right, but how can i explain that to the millions of ppl who have lost their lives to pandemics. if the viruses do not combine to new ones, where do you think these strains came up from ?
as far as i think, ebola/yellow fever/etc are different species of virus and hence do not sex with each other, where as bird/swine/common flu virus are from the same species.
& media upbeat is useful in manner that ppl become aware of such threats and it is easy to contain them by community watch sort of response, before they spread to dangerous levels as they did so in earlier times. at the same time, it is clearly reported that swine flu is not deadly but still needs treatment. and many ppl do suffer from underlying causes, IT IS DEADLY to many such ppl unless treated as per the current mortality statistics.
