Purely speculation by you. There is zero reason for Lab to consider that merely because 1 poll puts Lnp with a very slight 2pp lead 12 months out from the election. The only reason the Lnp have jagged a lead on 2pp is due to one nation attracting a few more votes. The next poll should see that lead evaporate after the stupidity by Dutton regarding Port Arthur and other gaffes.
