There are a couple of stocks i would recemmend to people ahead of cash -- one being HIG --- but the safest option for beginners is to stay in cash.
Re ALL: i don't like the risk/reward payoff for ALL. It could go to $2.15 in a couple of months as you say, and it could just as easily go to $1.50... in the end all you're doing is punting.
