I've gone the other way Isladar. After being a long-term holder in NGF, and having faith in their future, I became a bit wary about the forward prospects of extracting the gold at an economic cost, and having watched FML over a period of several years, I decided to switch my investment to them.
Time will tell which will do better, but even without the possible bonanza at Treasure Island, FML appear to have prospects of long term combined open pit and underground production at a reasonable cost, and they have no debt, but NGF might struggle to make sufficient profits to clear their debt unless the gold price spikes higher. It's the debt problem which I think has been holding back NGF's share price, and the future will look a lot brighter for them if they can get the debt paid off.
Anyway, good luck to all. If gold hits the $2,000 level, as some people in the know are predicting, we'll all do well (unless the Aussie dollar goes up to $140!).
