So in ancient times knowing oneself, fearing God and having a pure mind are considered to be sources of wisdom by various esteemed sources. In modern times I can only see Edward Debono as any sort of guide. He writes on thinking, creativity etc.... I cant remember all of what he wrote in his books I have read. It seems to me he teaches concepts and processes to improve thinking. He believes perception is more of a problem in thinking than logic. Wisdom to him is the steering while the motor is intelligence, wisdom a wide angle lens rather than clevernesses focus. I think Debonos approach is more concious decision making, the old school were interested in wisdom as a state of being.
