im a KAR holder interested in researching oilers
good discussion about BOE vs BBL and the relative valuations of BPT vs SXY
from a revenue point of view are they the same thing? the fact is that BPT has to produce a lot more gas for every BOE compared to a pure oil producer..?
therefore higher exploration/ production/ storage costs for the gas producer vs the oil producer?
in other words a gas company that produces and sells 1MBOE vs an oil company that produces and sells 1MBBL are two completely different beasts when it comes to profit margins
If SXY expect to get AUS $70 (NET) per BBL for their 700,000BBL in FY 2012, what would BPT expect (NET) per BOE for their approx 4,500,000BOE in FY2012....(assuming that BPT get similar NET to SXY for their BBLs)
