Charts may be difficult to read or make predictions from, at least reliably in any given situation, but whether or not they're making money, many people base their actions on the charts and that's what often drives the price. Their interpretation may cause them to buy or sell, and they may make or lose money, but it is the chart guiding them, for better or worse.
