Noone ever went broke taking a profit so well done.
The only flaw I see is that your analysis fails to take into consideration a material new announcement that shifts the earnings profile and growth prospects. I haven't read everything but I don't believe your prior analysis had this factored in as it hadn't been released to the market.
Given the above, this is probably the start of a new trend as opposed to the continuation of an old trend, on the basis that a material + announcement has been made to the market.
