Amongst the noise of the gas cap intervention the small cap swith gas reserves continued to be gobbled up ( nwe revised offer the latest) and the prices paid for reserves are significant. Comet is one of the few left standing and I think it’s a matter of time before someone has a crack. The production profile of its wells is significant so we have a highly productive field I have taken the opportunity to accumulate at 14.5-15.5 . I expect we may wake up one morning to see a starting offer of 23-25c on the table
my understanding is many are looking for gas , and the supply issue isn’t going to improve medium term and I think a heavy gas user may try and secure supply via a takeover
