The US has the greatest ars*nal of nuclear weapons and is continuing to develop them in spite of treaties.

It is hardly surprising that those with a different political view would feel threatened and seek to protect themselves.

If the US made a unilateral decision to rid itself of these weapons then it would have the moral authority to deny others.

With its superior conventional weapons, it would still be awesome so why not.
