    OK. They HC gurus don't bother to explain to you. Let me tell with my limited mining knowledge.

    Oxide resources are the ores usually close to the top soil, usually loosen, easier, cheaper to mine and recover and mined in open pit; Sulphide is another form of ores that usually bueried deep down and mined with expensive under ground project. Oxide ores are lower grade than Sulphide ores, but due to lower mining costs they are preferred resources. Syama has both resources, but the majority resources are in sulphide form, which RSG has poured in $4-500m trying to dig them out. In the past couple of quarters, it was the Syama oxide open pit that provided the major income to save the life.

    The Syama oxide reserves are the cream on the top, but unfortunately they are running out soon. That's part of the reason RSG acquired Mako for new blood injection. Hope I help out somewhat.
