It's important to remember that Technical Analysis is a trading tool employed to evaluate securities and identify trading opportunities by analyzing the statistics gathered from trading activity, such as price movement and volume. So as we look at various charts we should always keep in mind how they relate to the actual information they are derived from.
For instance when looking a the ASX trading volumes ( not including Ch-x ) and how it relates to the ' rise-rise-demise ' of SYA since the 14-11-2017 , you need to be aware that between the period of 14 Nov - 27 Nov , a total of 860,911.971 shares changed hands ( most likely double this when including Ch-x ). During this period you will also observe the SP touched, passed through -opened and / or closed at .03 cents - 2 times , .039-.04 cents x 6 times , and .05 -.051 cents 6 times.
Then from the 28-11-2017 through to the 9th Jan 2018 , a total of 578,900,281 shares were again traded with the .04 level being opened , passed through or closed at on 5 occasions with the .05 price being touched ,tested or settled no less than 10 times during this approx 6 week period..
Following this period up until our present situation, an approx 1.0 - 1.1 billion shares have also turned or churned through the screens with the .04 cent level being tested 4 times , .05 price passing through another 9 times with the .03 cent level being once again crossed , tested and bouncing only another 2 times.
In summary , when you plot this information into TA and chart analysis , you end up with the immediate supports and resistance in and around the critical price points of .03 , .039 - .04 , .05-.051 .......and if you keep going you will find them again at .059-.06 , 07.....and .079......so on and so forth.
So the bottom line is we still need the SP drivers to move the SP through these points from an investing point of view. This means we must get a firm handle on the Fundamental news underpinning the risks, growth and value of the investment case in the SYA . Lets hope we to see the continuing oversold re-rate sooner rather than later......
