- ordinarly that's probably true, but it simply hasn't been true in the last 10 years as all stars have aligned to a point where throwing darts at a suburb map of your city in 1999-2003 and buying where they land would have made you a packet even if you had no idea what you were doing. This has led to a certain smugness where everyone who made money on RP (basically ever boomer) thinks they are a SMART INVESTOR.......
The market action atm (if it contiues) will seperate the "real investors" from the ones who think they are.
