If they ever build a rail link, I might get worried but that's not on the cards at the moment. The closest precedent we have to go off is Avalon airport in Melbourne, which hasn't been a major threat to the main airport at all. Unless the fares are in the single digits it won't be a cheap option for domestic travellers heading to Eastern/Northern/central Sydney because of the cost of cabs etc as already discussed. Jetstar flights from Western Sydney to the Gold Coast might be a goer, but international travellers, not so much.
