BG if you want to live within 10k of any CBD in any major city in the world you will pay way above any median average. The further you go out the cheaper it is. What you always fail to understand when Quoting median averages, is that the houses where they are most affordable are nowhere near the median average which seems to confuse you quite a lot. EG Broadmeadows in Melb train line 20 km form CBD median 200g and South Yarra 1.1 mil cannot be compared and you quoting median prices and saying low paid workers in the same breath shows the lack of understanding that most seem to show on this site.
