Just the tip of the iceburg, China are not far away already handed to them by both sides of govt sold dirt cheep. Our problem is we have undervalued our natural resources particularly land suitable for agriculture and our water. Snouts in the trough on both sides of the fence both pander to special interests in china and elsewhere. One thing that will be very hard to undo is the foolish desicion to allow massive irrigation in what are very poor areas for growning large crops, many owned by forigen owned companies, cotton, olives, rice and more recently almonds. Taking huge ammounts of water out of our systems for next to nothing offshoring profits to minimise tax so on all levels very little gain for Aust! The chinese must laugh at us as we are really a very poor level in our political class.
