SYDNEY SMX WORKSHOPS / DISCOVERY SESSIONS

Founded in 1999, the Global Edge Group is an Australian company providing Protective Security Intelligence in support
of global business operations. The Global Edge Group supports those companies who are targeted, or concerned from
the threat posed, by radical activist or criminal (terrorist) groups in Australia and abroad.
The National Open Source Intelligence Centre (Australia) (“NOSIC’) is part of the Global Edge Group and provides
state and federal agencies with a dedicated open source Issue Monitoring, Research and Analytical Support capability.
NOSIC aims to provide Open Source Intelligence on the identity, capability and intentions of organisations or
individuals that engage in radical activism, criminal (terrorist) activity or unlawful behaviour motivated by politics,
ethnicity, religion, radical dissension, hate or financial gain.
Data-inCrypt® presented SMX to Global Edge Group’s Executive Management, and participated in strategic
discussions with regards to penetration of high-security markets in Australia and overseas.

KPMG is a global network of professional services firms providing Audit, Tax and Advisory services in over 140
countries, including 13 offices throughout Australia. Data-inCrypt® delivered the second part of an in-depth technical
presentation to KPMG’s senior IT advisory (formerly information risk management) team (the ASX announcement of
15 July 2008 refers), and now looks forward to concluding its discussions and working closely with KPMG over the
next few months.

regarding its proposed use of SMX for the automated secure delivery of medical reports worldwide (the ASX
announcement of 31 Jul 08 refers), and subsequent to that meeting was asked to complete several SMX installations
within Brain Resource Limited for its evaluation.

comprehensive and informative daily newspaper. Data-inCrypt® met with and demonstrated SMX to the online editor
of The AustralianIT (information technology) news section, who expressed an interest in publishing an SMX case study
in a future issue.

Law in Order was formed in Sydney in 1999 and specialised in the reproduction of legal documents, providing fast,
accurate and effective solutions for law firms and their clients. It is now one of the largest document management
companies in Australia with additional offices in Brisbane and Melbourne. Data-inCrypt® held a workshop / discovery
session for Law In Order’s Executive Management team, and subsequent to that session was asked to complete several
SMX installations within Law In Order for its evaluation.
Surf Life Saving Australia Ltd www.slsa.asn.au
Surf Life Saving Australia Ltd (SLSA) is Australia’s major water safety and rescue authority and is one of the largest
volunteer organisations in the country. SLSA is a volunteer organisation with more than 113,000 members spread across
304 affiliated surf life saving clubs in every Australian state and the Northern Territory. Data-inCrypt® has been a
corporate sponsor of SLSA since 2006 (the ASX announcement of 21 Aug 06 refers), and during this Sydney visit held
discussions with SLSA’s CEO, Brett Williamson OAM, regarding the potential integration of SMX into SLSA’s
centralised ICT (information & communications technology) roadmap.
