I saw the Sydney New years fireworks on TV last night and thought what a great opportunity to turn this into one of the biggest charity fundraisers in Australia.
Possibly a voluntary levy on the huge money they charge to enter some of the viewing locations and hotels that make a killing out of this night. A list of venues that contribute could be advertised enhancing public image. The costs would probably be returned to them in extra patronage.
There must be other opportunities to raise funds with so many people out on this night.
I'm sure there are smart people out there with some good ideas on this.
It concerns me that we blow 6-7 Mil up in smoke when there are homeless people and other people dying waiting for surgery.
Wouldn't it be great to go out have fun night while also improving the lives of those in need of our help.
Any ideas out there ?
