Are we about to follow Japan in 1980 with housing deflation?
In Japan housing debt is binding over 3 generations and at least in Australia the second generation is not liable for the debt. It is very common for people to have million dollars mortgage especially coffee shop millionaire. I do see the parents who unable to pay the mortgage transfer their assets and debts to the children. Well, debt do transfer to second generation.
