Every day a string of large bids and sells come on just before ope and a lot of buys get pulled on the close. Not sure its illegal though. If you want to buy and are prepared to without the "confirmation" of your strategy by these other large bids then leave your bid on.
Its frustrating I know. In fact I generally don't try to trdae FAR particularly in this quiet period when this form of "management" of the share price is rife.
