I think we need to fill out a form from Pershing to transfer our shares to Global Market accounts. You may ask them if you have questions.

I think Westpac just designates Pershing as the third party to do the foreign share trading business. Before MF Global Australia was in trouble, Westpac's CFD trading was carried out through MF Global Australia.

I do not want to sell my BOTA in the near term. So, I do not want to transfer my BOTA shares to my Global Market accounts. Just keep them as "issuer sponsored holdings". When I want sell my BOTA, I will call them to verify this process and make sure that proceeds of sales can be transferred to my Australian Bank account quickly. :)
