I think there is considerable merit in what you have said, Jake.

The headline news coverage in all media outlets are catastrophising the looming critical shortage of gas along the eastern seaboard. This will lead to significant staff redundancies at major manufacturing centres. The unions will not stand idly by and have this occur. The electorate will not like it. There are enough sitting MPs feeling the heat to influence voting patterns in the party room. The demand side of the equation is set. The market is in play. Significant people are mobilising their intellectual genius and business acumen towards a solution driven response to the energy crisis. MBL is not the only one.........
