    Specky,

You have pointed out that the same presentation can produce two (or three) entirely different seminars. Yes, precisely: a great learning experience. But treat this as a strength and not an irritable weakness.

    It demonstrates several things:

    1. a) Presentation slides on their own can often be vague or ambiguous because bullet points tend to be incomplete statements that hide the conditionals, if .., perhaps .., we might .., possibly .., hoping for .. Readers then project their own meaning into the phrases, conflating dreams and reality.

    1. b) An alert audience can note the differentiating expressions used by the speaker and thus gain specific information.

    1. c) Keen listeners who have done their homework and sit up the front can politely ask for clarification and lead the speaker on to give details about things not intended to be discussed.

It is not surprising then that the write-ups for each road show are quite distinct, and they should be. If it were not so then we, shareholders, haven’t done our job properly. Of course, it means good preparation and an avoidance of asking silly questions that waste opportunity. The net result is /should be a significant increase in detailed knowledge.

When MO came into the Sydney meeting he was in an obvious, very buoyant mood. Clearly he had already had some positive discussions with leading lights. It made it much easier to elicit useful information. He seemed to enjoy the questions. Prompting. Descriptions just poured off his tongue. (It hasn’t always been like this.)

It may also have had to do with the fact that he can now see the clear path to commercialisation when previously there were still high risk factors including funding.

    Juke
