"The single biggest influence on techs (or any speculative stock) reaching lofty market caps is the register. Plain and simple. If you have the right people onboard, the right brokers pulling the strings, amazing things can and do happen.

The right register could propel a company selling used toilet paper into a multibagger.

Second is how good the company is at marketing, which has a relationship with your point 2, above.

Third is whether the company's "disruptive" product/service actually works or is largely horse$hit; but this is much less important than 1 and 2, above and usually only matters later down the track after the big run has already played out.

Know the players in the market and you will know the game."
