Generalisations don't really work all that well when you understand the diverse number of people and value systems that exist within any group.
Just on your comment about being "Pale Europeans".
People with dark skin that move to the Higher Latitudes usually have issues with the lack of sunlight................ people with pale skin have issues when they move to the Lower Latitudes where too much sunlight can be an issue.
Skin colour is basically associated with the body coping with its environment.
You might be surprised to find out that skin colour isn't an opinion.
PS ............. not all but quite a few Europeans can get a pretty good tan.
