It amazes me how many similar interests you and I have. Congrats on the properties, it's great being in secure investments. You're doing well when you have that many under your belt.
I like the share market but for rock-solid preparation for retirement years and for something to leave the kids, property is it for me.
We focus on Brisbane and Melbourne and sadly missed out on the Perth boom. That was only because we couldn't find any DHA properties left in Perth and we didn't want to manage from such a great distance. In hindsight, it would have been worth it for the hassles involved.
We are interested in Sydney and it may be high time to take a position there. Before that though, I think the Gold Coast still has lots of promise.
