The driver was a big screw up, really stupid, however calling NSW response up to now luck is a stretch. There have been multiple outbreaks and handled without major disruption. Time will tell on this one.
Sorry to here about the impacts with your family. But, re the vaccine, people in those age groups 70s etc and above have had access for over 2 months. Its slowing up now for under 60s and under 50s, but they're not at risk of dying. AZ vaccine for those age groups has been available for a long time now. Long time between doses though, but the fully vaxxed number will start to shoot up soon as those cohorts get the second one.
