First off, NSW has already won compared to Vic by avoiding an extra 100 odd days of stage 4 total lockdowns. Most of the cases are linked and already isolating, however there are a couple of cases not linked. In Victoria that is the threshold for stage 4 lock down "circuit breakers", yet is Syd people can still earn an income while tracing and isolating is ongoing. Maybe they will go a step further and shut hospitality and events if more unlinked cases, but to go full retard and shut down eveything like Melbourne is surely not on the cards. The NSW Gov is on a slimer margin than Andrews and has to govern more from the centre and compromise more. It cannot use lockdowns as simply insurance policies like VicGov and afford to lose a few seats. It should be noted Vic ALP has recently lost 6% of its primary vote in a poll, but will still win.
