I did not realize the sheer scale of it but now that you mention it of course this is going to be huge. Especially for Australia. I once wrote a paper at school that I thought one of our great achievements as a civilization was the ability to mass deliver clean water to millions of people. This change will be an even bigger achievement.

MY secret hope is one day pure water is being pumped into the center of Australia and start terraforming our great land.

Right now though this change is very important for the whole world like you pointed out.
