Firstly Prof Jeff Dahn states categorically "It's become clear in the last 5 or 6 years that the lifetime of cells" using.synthetic graphite performs better than natural graphite etc.

Secondly he also said he put Novonix' own PUREGraphite anode powder up against what they thought was the best synthetic graphite anode powder on the market and PUREGraphite beat the other synthetic powder 'hands down' in terms of cycle life and coulombic efficiency.

Thirdly, graphite is not going to be superceded any time soon. "Graphite is going to be around long after I'm dead, that's for sure."
