Why Syntonic will be successful.... Currently telcos are paying more and more to obtain clients. Say Vodaphone, they give 'free social media access to Facebook', This is a COST to Vodaphone. To get away with this, all they would have to do is find a sponsor (they seem to be lining up); and then the mobile user can access as much FB as they want. All they have to so is use the Syntonic app. The telco would pre-install it on phones or allow download as they do with several apps already, and suddenly no more costs involved for telco, telco will actually be making money off this content! How hard do you think Gary has to work to sell that to a telco?
PSF are doing all the right things; a little patience and we will see solid returns. I know I keep saying this, but I am very confident in their ability to deliver the goods. I say this from personal experience in building software houses, and understand where they are at - they are first movers and their timing is impeccable.
Syntonic didn't quite have enough to cover off any competition, so they quickly added new features into version 2.0. This would have come about from Telcos wanting a single complete package rather than trying to deal with multiple vendors which is a pain. They would not have done this if they were not very very confident in new telcos seeking to engage with them. We already know there is another coming onboard shortly, and they keep mentioning Europe, etc.
Syntonic have somehow managed to make the more difficult step of signing deals with large telcos. The red tape required to achieve this is immense. Once one telco uses them, others will quickly follow - its a very competitive space. In fact - if a competitor somehow managed to get into one telco, others would prob be looking to Syntonic for a competitive advantage; but I dont see any Tier1 offerings at this level so they are very much in the drivers seat.
